At Davidson, every action, big or small, is directed to enhancing workplaces, supporting careers and making a positive difference to the lives of our clients, candidates and the broader community.
With a national presence built over the past 30 years, we possess the scale and capability to enhance workplace performance. We combine this with strong local knowledge and a partnership-based approach to building sustainable value.
Our team includes a broad range of specialists in business advisory, search and recruitment and technology consulting. Many of our clients have worked with us for decades.
We put that down to not just believing in our values but living them.
We work with some of the biggest brands in Australia, supporting their business needs with the right people solutions and finding the best candidates for contract and permanent positions.
As a recruiter, your role is to immerse yourself in a specific candidate market. And while you will be on the phone a lot, face-to-face meetings, attending events, meet ups and conferences are essential to building your network.
Our clients seek our support to uncover those amazing employees that are hard to come by. So, you’ll spend most of your time proactively searching for those unicorns. This requires skill, connection and resilience. The work is diverse and rewarding.
Our candidates look to us to help them secure the right opportunity in line with their career objectives. In your role, you will offer support throughout, with advice that is genuine, caring and practical, including resume, interview and other tips and techniques.
We’ll teach you all the tricks of the trade to ensure, like the rest of our Davidson team, you are known in the market for your expert abilities in this area.
We find that people with exceptional customer service skills and the ability to build rapport transition well to recruitment roles. So, if you have experience in customer service through hospitality, real estate or other people-facing roles, a new career in recruitment awaits you.
Successful applicants will be offered a permanent full-time paid position at Davidson as a Trainee Consultant, and you’ll also be eligible for monthly placement bonuses.
By analysing the traits of our Academy Alumni revealed through psychometric assessment, some skills and competencies stand out as helping you succeed and progress faster in your chosen career.
Those who initiate and build relationships with others, respond with empathy and work inclusively to prioritise team goals and deliverables, perform the highest at Davidson.
Additionally, the ability to adapt to change, adopt feedback, be open-minded and have strong self-awareness along with a learning agility that sees you grasp and apply new concepts quickly provides a great foundation for success.
One of the best things about working at Davidson is our people. They live our values, working with integrity, passion, a collective drive to succeed, and a genuine interest in the development and support of others.
As a trainee Recruitment Consultant within the Davidson Academy, you will participate in a 12-week intensive training program. This will cover the 7 key domains above and provide you with the fundamentals to build a successful career in recruitment.
The program is a blend of facilitator led training, online learning, interactive task-based activities and on-the-job coaching.
You will learn from a range of Davidson stakeholders and be buddied up with some of the most successful and experienced team members to ensure you are learning from industry leading recruiters.
At Davidson, competency frameworks and promotion milestones are based on outcomes, rather than duration. The quicker a talented recruiter fulfils the goals set out in the competency framework and reaches the milestones, the quicker they achieve their desired promotion.
Every Davidson employee has a development plan, encompassing both personal and career goals and desired timelines. This includes those trainees at the Davidson Academy. You will have the same opportunity as senior staff to discuss your personal and career goals, the action steps to achieve them and timelines.
Davidson offers multiple internal career specialties, to enable recruiters to grow in a customer facing role they can thrive in. Meet some of our Davidson Alumni below, many of whom in their career with Davidson have progressed into senior roles or transitioned into roles in other client facing teams.
