About the Role

Reporting directly to the CFO, the Tax Accountant will play a key role in managing the organisation’s tax compliance and contributing to strategic tax planning across a complex, multi-entity structure. This is a high-impact role with exposure to senior stakeholders, offering the opportunity to add value through both technical expertise and commercial insight.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparation and review of income tax returns, tax reconciliations, and year-end tax provisions across multiple entities
  • Consolidated tax reporting and assistance with group-level financial reporting requirements
  • Preparation and submission of monthly and quarterly BAS and annual FBT returns, including data consolidation from multiple sites
  • Management of payroll tax and FBT obligations across various states and territories
  • Support the preparation of transfer pricing documentation and related-party transaction reviews
  • Liaise with external advisors and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with current tax legislation and best practices
  • Provide input on tax implications of strategic initiatives, including M&A, capital investment, and group restructures

About You

You are a technically strong and detail-oriented tax professional with a proactive mindset. You enjoy working in a fast-paced, commercial environment and are confident in building relationships across different business units. You bring a collaborative attitude and are always looking to improve processes and add value.

You will ideally have:

  • A degree in Accounting, Commerce, or a related field
  • CA/CPA qualified or working towards
  • Experience in a corporate tax role, either from practice or industry (Big 4 experience desirable)
  • Strong understanding of Australian tax legislation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
