Davidson is partnering with a leading utilities provider based in Brisbane who are seeking a Senior Project Manager. With a strong focus on digital transformation, the company is progressing a number of critical technology upgrades to improve efficiency, customer service, and operational capability.
About the Role
As a Senior Project Manager, you will take the lead on a suite of major projects aimed at overhauling the organisation’s CRM, billing, and accounting platforms. You will work across business and technology teams, overseeing delivery from planning through to implementation.
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of project delivery, from initiation through to completion, ensuring time, budget, and scope are managed effectively
- Act as the primary liaison for senior stakeholders, clearly communicating progress, risks, and opportunities
- Develop and maintain robust project documentation, including schedules, reports, and governance artefacts
- Drive structured change and adoption plans to support a smooth transition for users
- Manage vendor relationships and contracts to ensure external partners deliver to expectations
- Champion problem-solving and continuous improvement throughout the delivery lifecycle
- Monitor financial performance, track forecasts, and ensure spend aligns with approved budgets
- Lead cross-functional teams to deliver outcomes, building a positive and performance-driven culture
- Support internal audits, reviews, and assurance activities, responding to feedback and recommendation
About You
You’re a seasoned delivery leader with strong commercial awareness and a track record of successfully driving enterprise IT projects in complex environments. .
You will bring:
- Proven experience managing large-scale technology projects
- Formal qualifications in IT, along with certifications in PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile frameworks
- Strong experience working with vendors, managing budgets, and delivering within structured governance settings
- A solid grasp of IT architecture, cloud platforms, data management, and security principles
- The ability to motivate and lead diverse teams towards shared delivery outcomes
- Certifications such as ITIL or TOGAF
- Experience working within government or regulated utilities sectors
