Davidson Technology have teamed up with a Victorian Governance Organisation to help them find their next Solution Architect.
This is a 12-month initial contract, Melbourne based working a hybrid style.
Key Responsibilities.
- Solution Architecture – Produce Solution Architecture Documents (SAD) outlining architecture and integration across Energy Markets, Trading and Corporate Systems
- Security – Collaborate with security architecture to ensure solutions are aligned to organisations security standards and policies.
- Technology Governance - Ensure solution designs are aligned to organisations architectural principals and standards and present solutions to design governance bodies.
- Partnering and co-creation – Work alongside key business and technology stakeholders to capture future business needs and enable solution identification. Identify and partner with users/stakeholders/experts to ensure active collaboration in the design process to understand user needs, obtain ideas, insights and input.
- Technology Roadmap - Perform technology and product research to identify opportunities that impact business strategy, business requirements and performance and support continuous improvement initiatives. 
Experiences and Skills:
- Knowledge of data architectures, compute, network, cloud, and virtualization, with an emphasis on SaaS applications and Azure technologies. 
- An innovative mindset that ensures consideration of all alternative options and the development of creative solutions.
- Experience establishing and shaping a ‘fit for purpose’ architecture framework within small/medium organization.
- A strong team player who demonstrates flexibility, pro-activeness and required soft skills to align technology to business objectives. 
- Excellent problem-solving skills, a proactive approach and ability to thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Influence and Persuasion: ability to gain agreement to proposals & ideas; build behind the scenes support for ideas to ensure buy-in & ownership; use chains of indirect influence to achieve outcomes; Involve experts or other third parties to strengthen case. 
Qualifications and experience:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field. 
- Extensive technical breadth gained via experience across multiple architecture disciplines, including business, application, infrastructure and information/data disciplines.  
- Implementation of Data Modelling and/or Data Visualization applications.
- Experience in an architecture role within the Energy/Utilities industry (Desirable)
- Azure or AWS Software Certification Program (Desirable)
- TOGAF 9 Certification Program (Desirable)
