Our Finance and Information Technology Division provides strategic and operational support, ensuring the smooth delivery of financial, IT, and procurement services to enable the organisation to achieve its goals.

About the Role

We are looking for a temporary Senior Financial Accountant to lead our Financial Accounting team for 3 months. In this key position, you will oversee financial accounting, treasury, and compliance functions while ensuring the preparation of financial statements, adherence to accounting standards, and the implementation of financial policies and procedures. You will also provide expert advice, support process improvements, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

About You

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

  • A tertiary qualification in finance or accounting, along with membership in a professional accounting body (CPA Australia or ICAA).
  • Advanced proficiency in Oracle Financial Systems (or similar) and MS Excel, including financial modeling.
  • A deep understanding of Australian Accounting Standards and the Financial Management Act 1994.
  • Strong leadership and team management experience, with a proven ability to drive compliance and deliver business process improvements.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments with tight deadlines.
