About the Role
Reporting to the CFO, the Senior Corporate Accountant will play a critical role in the financial management and reporting of corporate and property entities. You will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting and tax standards, and supporting strategic decision-making through insightful financial analysis. This role requires a proactive finance professional with strong technical expertise and a commercial mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review monthly management reports for corporate and property entities.
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate financial records.
- Manage property asset accounting, including revaluations, acquisitions, disposals, and capital improvements.
- Oversee P&L reporting, budgeting, and cashflow forecasting.
- Lead tax compliance activities, including BAS, FBT, and corporate tax obligations.
- Support external and internal audit processes.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial efficiency.
- Provide financial guidance to internal stakeholders and support key business initiatives.
About You
You are a detail-oriented and proactive finance professional with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a track record of delivering high-quality financial insights that support business growth.
You bring:
- CA or CPA qualification with a strong technical accounting foundation.
- Extensive experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and tax compliance.
- Proficiency in Excel and cloud-based accounting systems.
- Strong stakeholder management and the ability to communicate financial insights effectively.
- Experience with trust structures and Division 7A management.
- Previous experience in the automotive industry(desirable but not essential).
