About the Role
As the new Senior Bookkeeper, you’ll be stepping into a key role within the business. Your focus will be on financial modelling, driving process improvements, and making things more efficient across the company. You’ll work closely with the leadership team to provide strategic financial insights and help guide the company through some big changes.
You’ll also be managing a finance officer and ensuring that financial operations are running smoothly. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the financial future of the company and create a positive, supportive culture.
About You
Key R
esponsibilities:
In this role, you will manage a Finance Officer and oversee key financial operations, including:
- Driving process improvements to enhance efficiency and service outcomes.
- Preparing financial statements and reports, including BAS, Payroll, Tax, GST, and more.
- Reconciling the General Ledger and Control Accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Managing accounts receivable, including initiating recovery actions when necessary.
- Maintaining asset registers and managing payroll tasks such as data entry, payslips, and leave.
- Assisting with audit requirements and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Experience or a strong understanding of the disability, aged care, or community health sectors (Desirable)
- Experience using MYOB - Must Have
- Tertiary qualifications in accounting
