Davidson is working with a state government client who is seeking an experienced Project Lead.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Payroll Lead / Advisor to support the continued operation of current payroll operations and support the transition to a new HCM/Payroll/Time sheeting Solutions.
This project role has the primary responsibility to provide senior expertise to the Payroll Team in the delivery of payroll services to the business whilst they undertake the implementation of a new HCM/Payroll solution.
Key Duties:
- Provide high level, accurate and comprehensive service and advice to senior management in regard to ensuring the management and delivery of payroll processes and payments of salary and wages for department.
- Ensures payroll services comply with legislation, certified agreements, and award conditions.
- Lead the Payroll team by ensuring operational excellence and a focus on employee experience, whilst promoting continuous improvement and high performance.
- Be the subject matter expert for all payroll matters and ensure remuneration activities are accurate and timely provided to the business.
- Manage the end-to-end payroll process, including data entry, verification and disbursements are maintained in strict confidence.
- Be a conduit to the Project by providing accurate feedback where issues are identified in the current solution for notation and management in the delivery of the Project.
- Support and champion change activities to support the Payroll Team through project delivery, parallel pays and cutover to the new solution.
About You
- Extensive experience in a medium to large payroll environment. Experience in Public Sector &/or Local Government would be an advantage.
- Extensive experience within an environment of multiple, complex awards.
- Professional qualifications relevant to the role would be highly regarded.
- Extensive experience in a strategic leadership role.
- Experience with SAP Success Factors and Kronos experience would be preferred
