Davidson Technology are working with this local Council to secure the skills and expertise of a Principal Project Manager on a contract until June 2028.




About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Transformation, as the Principal Project Manager, you will lead the delivery of this project, a transformational initiative replacing Council’s Enterprise Resource Planning systems to enhance customer-centric service delivery. Reporting to the Head of Transformation, you’ll oversee the project's technical and business aspects, managing vendor relationships, governance, project schedules, and risk mitigation. Utilising both agile and waterfall methodologies, you will ensure timely, high-quality, and budget-conscious delivery while driving benefit realisation. This position fosters collaboration across internal and external stakeholders, upholds safety and compliance standards, and champions a culture of accountability, innovation, and customer focus.




About You

To be successful, you’ll be a seasoned Project Management professional with 8-10 years of experience leading large-scale, complex projects, particularly in transformational ERP implementations, including Oracle solutions. You’ll hold formal qualifications in project or program management (Agile/Waterfall) and preferably ITIL or ITSM certifications, whilst excelling in stakeholder management, strategic planning, and risk mitigation. Your expertise will span project scheduling, financial management, team leadership, and service level management, with proficiency in Microsoft Project Online. You’ll demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, navigate dynamic environments, ensuring timely and high-quality project delivery while fostering a positive safety culture and adherence to Health and Safety Management Systems.

You will be offered an excellent hourly rate for the duration of the contract until June 2028.
