Our client operates in the building & construction sector and has experienced year-on-year growth and success, as they expand and diversify their service offerings.
Due to an internal promotion, the position of Payroll Lead has become available. In this role you will manage the payroll function for 800 employees, with a team to support you.
About the Role
· Prepare and process the weekly payroll
· Adhere to a number of different awards and EBA’s
· Maintain payroll information, including leave, child support and salary sacrificing
· Manage PAYG, Payroll Tax, Superannuation, Qleave and WorkCover payments
· Answer payroll related queries
· Complete month-end tasks
· Contributing to process and system improvements
· Reconcile and balance payroll accounts for EOM and EOY
About You
You should have a minimum of three years in an end-to-end payroll position, using a mid to large ERP, with a high level of payroll knowledge and the ability to work autonomously.
Due to my client’s services being project-based, an understanding of job costing would be a benefit.
In the first three weeks you should expect to work until up to 6pm, up to 3 days per week until you have reached competency, and from then will be able to finish at 4.00pm daily with the exception of Thursday where you may run a little later. You can adjust your start time accordingly.
