About the Company
Our client is a well-established organisation undergoing significant workforce and remuneration transformation. With a strong mandate to optimise headcount and implement a data-driven salary review process, they require an experienced HR professional to drive execution over the next six months. This is a critical period of change, and they need someone who can step in, take ownership, and deliver.
About the Role
This is a hands-on role, not a strategic one—the roadmap is set, and now it’s about execution. Reporting to the CFO, you will be responsible for:
- Leading a redundancy program to optimise headcount while ensuring a smooth transition.
- Driving a salary review process, leveraging Mercer data to create a structured, analytical framework for remuneration decisions.
- Rationalising position descriptions, job classifications, and organisational structure using the SFIA framework.
- Managing change and educating the business on the new remuneration and workforce structure.
- Handling HR processes without an HRIS, meaning strong Excel skills are essential for reporting, tracking, and analysis.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-moving, high-accountability environment and isn’t afraid to get into the detail.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will need to be:
✅ An experienced HR professional
– confident in leading redundancy programs and remuneration processes.
✅ Execution-focused
– this is about delivering outcomes, not strategy development.
✅ Highly competent in Excel
– HRIS doesn’t exist here, so data manipulation and reporting will be done manually.
✅ Adaptable and hands-on
– able to work autonomously and dive into the detail where needed.
✅ Immediately available
– or able to start with minimal notice.
The Benefits
- 6-month contract with a potential permanent opportunity.
- Central Sydney CBD location (Grosvenor St).
- High-impact role – be instrumental in delivering meaningful change.
- Competitive remuneration – circa $250K TRP.
If you’re a seasoned HR professional
who enjoys making things happen, we’d love to hear from you.
