Digital Communications Adviser

About the Company

Davidson Technology are working with a large local Council to secure Digital Communications Adviser who will ensure the content management systems of Council's multiple internet, and one intranet site operate effectively, providing specialist professional web, social media and videography advice and services to internal clients and/or external stakeholders as determined by the Group Manager Communication, Engagement and Tourism.




About the Role

As the Digital Communications Adviser, you’ll play a key role in managing and supporting corporate web and digital communication channels, ensuring content is accurate, accessible, and aligned with corporate standards. You’ll provide technical administration for CMS platforms, convert complex documents into digital formats, and develop online forms and surveys. The role includes resolving technical challenges related to multimedia content, optimising digital assets such as videos and images, and analysing supporting metrics. Additionally, you will develop and implement strategies to enhance intranet, website, and social media usage, ensuring consistency in content and campaign development. You’ll also coordinate training for Council officers to manage online content effectively and maintain the digital strategy by documenting guidelines, standards, and procedures, while delivering reports to support informed decision-making.




About You

As the successful incumbent of this role, you’ll have proven expertise in implementing and administering large-scale CMS systems and online form builders, along with strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders and meet business communication needs. You will deliver training to non-technical staff, provide specialist advice on digital platforms for communication and disaster management, and coordinate multiple projects with tight deadlines. With a keen eye for innovation, you will develop and implement digital strategies, leveraging emerging technologies in web publishing, social media, and digital communications to drive engagement and deliver high-quality online solutions.




The Benefits

You will be offered an excellent hourly rate for an initial 3-month contract with the possibility to extend. After working 4 weeks’ full-time in the Cleveland office, you’ll have the ability to negotiate a hybrid working arrangement.
