Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Operations & Infrastructure Officer will provide leadership and strategic direction across a Directorate that is focused on providing exceptional service delivery and outcomes to the community. Leading a diverse team across Capital and Infrastructure, Recreation and Leisure, and the Operations Centre, the Chief Operations & Infrastructure Officer will take an innovative approach to providing essential services for the community. Working closely with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team, this role will contribute to broader organisational strategy and culture, while ensuring contemporary processes and procedures are in place that support a strong focus on project governance and delivery. This position will also play a pivotal role in embedding a continuous improvement mindset and building and prioritising a culture of safety, innovation, and customer-centricity across Council.
To be successful in this role you will be a qualified Engineer with proven experience leading an Operations or Infrastructure function to deliver exceptional results. You will bring a passion for driving positive change, while facilitating and actively contributing towards a workplace environment that supports diversity, and the health and wellbeing of all staff. You will be able to demonstrate executive-level experience within a service delivery environment, whether within Local Government, State Government, Utilities, Consultancy, or another aligned sector. Above all, you will bring a passion for excellence in service and project delivery, and a desire to innovate to ensure the best possible outcomes for Council and the Nillumbik community.
