Davidson is working with a state government department who are seeking an experienced Internal Communications & Change Officer.

About the Role

You will work closely with the Program Change Manager in the delivery of internal staff communications an key change management projects at organisational and stream levels.

This role requires strong writing, content creation, and stakeholder engagement skills, with an opportunity to develop expertise in change management.

The role will be responsible for establishing communication processes and approval workflows for the program, as well as developing content aligned with the change management journey. While the program has access to external design and graphics providers, experience in design, visual communication, or managing external creative vendors would be beneficial.

About you

  • Ability to adapt and navigate ambiguous environments.
  • Understanding of/or experience in program and/or project environments.
  • Experience in developing or streamlining communication processes and approval channels. Communications Strategy & Execution:
  • The main office location for this role will be Logan City area, other work locations could be Burleigh, Caboolture, Brisbane, CBD & Flexible Working.

Communications Strategy & Execution:

  • Develop and manage internal communication channels, processes, and approval workflows.
  • Support strategic messaging and communication initiatives for internal programs.
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate communication campaigns for business projects.
  • Create and manage content across various formats (emails, newsletters, intranet, videos, reports etc.).
  • Ensure branding, tone, and messaging consistency across all communication materials.
  • Monitor and analyse communication effectiveness using feedback and analytics.

Change Communication & Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Work closely with stakeholders to deliver clear and engaging messaging.
  • Assist in change communication strategies to drive awareness, understanding, and engagement.
  • Support stakeholder engagement initiatives to foster collaboration and smooth transitions.
  • Identify and mitigate communication challenges and risks.
  • Initiate, influence, and maintain relationships with and between key internal and external stakeholders, facilitate effective communication channels to promote the successful adoption of change within the business, and foster relationships through lessons learned, feedback mechanisms and management of expectations

Change Management Support:

  • Learn and apply change management principles, under guidance as required.
  • Support change impact assessments and stakeholder readiness initiatives.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of change management communication strategies.

  • $85.31 hour + Super (Agency Contractor – PAYG)
  • 6-month contract
